mna|bax is a boutique design agency in New Milford, CT that specializes in product and packaging design. As a Junior Packaging Designer at mna|bax, I mainly worked on private-label packaging projects for Weis Markets. Weis Markets is a Mid-Atlantic food retailer based in Sunbury, PA. I'm proud to say that my oatmeal packaging design was chosen by the Weis Markets team to be displayed on shelf.
I also was a production designer and learned a lot about the production process. I worked with a variety of dielines, picked color swatches from the Pantone books, edited photos in Photoshop (e.g., siloed stock images and removed hairs from strawberries for a seltzer packaging project), cut out and folded production files to mock them up and to make sure the design and folds lined up correctly, and took over flavor extensions once the lead packaging designer finalized the design layout.

Oatmeal Packaging Design Concept
For this design concept I wanted to achieve a simple, fresh and wholesome look. The Weis Markets team chose my oatmeal packaging design to be displayed on shelf.
Tea Bags Packaging Design Concepts
I created two packaging design concepts for Weis Markets Tea Bags. In the first packaging design concept I explored using a tea leaf pattern for texture with a simple and clean layout. In the second packaging design concept I explored a decorative look with an intricate design on the sides blended with a gradient and simple typography.
